The bench

This design has a curved backrest raised on posts, a natural-edge seat that follows the shape of the tree, and splayed legs that keep it stable on grass or gravel. Like all our benches, it’s made by hand from thick, solid oak, so no two are the same.

Hand-carved by a skilled sculptor

Every engraving is carved by hand by an experienced sculptor whose work features in national parks. He works close to our workshop, so we plan each design together in detail, from the lettering style to the spacing.

About solid oak

These benches are made from very thick, natural oak, which moves with the seasons. Small cracks and splits will appear as the wood dries and takes on moisture. This is completely natural and doesn’t affect the bench’s strength.
